The House for All

The Chop House is one of those ubiquitous American diners, serving typical burger and fries, steak frites and so on. Yes, you’re right bout that but it’s also one of the better ones in town that I won’t mind going back.

Deep-fried battered prawns

We kicked off with these bigass battered prawns. Flavor-wise it wasn’t bad, if not too memorable.

Quesadillas with Beef ($135)

Same as the prawns, pretty decent. And c’mon, who doesn’t like quesadillas?

Soft Shell Crab Club Sandwiches ($158) Applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and lemon aioli

My favourite of the night has to go to these amazing Soft Shell Crab Sandwiches, LOVED both the sandwich and the tater tots on the side. Delicious flavors and well-fried soft shell crab(not oily yo!). Lemme tell you, they ain’t crappy but oh-so-meaty and FCUKING GOOD. I’ll go back for this alone, no word of a lie. I can already envisage me and #fatassbehindfatass huddle round the table eating Tator Tots and fighting over for the last sandwich (there’re 3!) next time we’re here.

(Brought some home and baked them the next day, so good still.)

OH! AND TATOR TOTS! FRIED TO PERFECTION. CRISPY- NO SIGN OF OIL- SPOTTED A PLEASANT BROWN. Oh man, these Tator Tots are some of the tastiest ones you’ll find in the kong or anywhere.

BBQ Beef, Bacon & Cheddar Burger ($170)

Chicken BBQ Burger ($145)

Lettuce see what we have here! Chicken BBQ Burger was deeeeelicioussssss, loved the kick of sweetness from the Honey BBQ sauce.  Oooooo and that BBQ Beef, Bacon & Cheddar Burger is BACON ME CRAZY! Look at that smooth, glossy surface of Cheddar, I’m speechless…

Another tick in the box for a legit American Diner – GOOD BURGERS.

Braised Beef Shank Lollipop on the bone($1280) comes with 3 choices of side.

That beef shank was a killer man. It could easily fill a dozen of empty stomaches. If you’re looking for sth epic, this good damn humongous piece of cow is for you. Fair warning: it’s FCUKING HUGE.

Creamy corn and Sweet Potato Fries were delicious, unfortunately most people were too full to try. #oops #dontmindhavingall

Bershire Pork Chop ($320)

Very tender meat atop by a layer of Asian-inspired glaze- interesting mix of Hoisin and black bean chilli sauce.

Apple Strudel($88)

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 presetBaileys Cheesecake ($60)

Desserts weren’t much of a surprise but definitely decent. Their Baileys Cheese Cake is worth a try, not as gelatine as it looks but pretty dense, kinda like a thicker version of mousse cake.

The general consensus was that this resto can be your everyday kind of establishment– great and enjoyable dining experience.

END OF BLOGGING, GET ME SOME TATOR TOTS ALREADY!
